Case in point, this newsletter should have been sent out on the 24th of May. Now, if I had sent this out in the first week of June then you could have put the delay down to just being lazy or disorganised. The more I procrastinated though, the more the laziness has turned into self-doubt.
Then, my laziness also saw me not completing my daily breathing and movement exercises. My portions got slightly bigger on my plate and then I started to search google if “winter weight” is a legitimate excuse for having put on 7kg or an extra 10%.
Part of being healthy is regular, daily choices. Our environment and what we put in it can make those choices easier. If the pantry is full of processed food instead of the fridge full of fresh vegetables and fruit. If the freezer has processed frozen meals rather than homemade soups. A wide selection of nuts and seeds in the pantry rather than biscuits and chips. It’s not that you can’t eat a fresh bombolone (Italian style donut, mmmmm), just doing it every day is not a healthy choice.
So, three weeks ago, I started being a little more conscious about breathing and moving. Putting a little more greens on my plate and less of everything else.
And it’s working.
4kg has vanished and I’m feeling more connected to myself again. The self-doubt about being able to share my knowledge with others is lifting, though the doubt about being able to make a business out of health coaching is still there…..but I know I have something to offer and it will require regular effort and connection with other people to make my dream of making a healthy difference to people a reality.
