Many people have said something along these lines. Who knows who said it first or when. But it still applies today.
In my case, I have been waiting for our boutique accommodation website to be ready so I could share it with you in the newsletter – but it’s still another week away. So do I wait another week and be three weeks late with my 2 weekly newsletter or get on with writing? I was also hoping to have my Mindful Breathing with Movement introduction video ready to add into the news, but that too is still another week or so away from being ready. So do I push my newsletter out even further?
I want to get my newsletters out on a Monday night so it’s fresh for a Tuesday morning read. If I miss Monday night do I wait another week? Is this about timing or procrastination…..?
What are you waiting to do until everything is aligned? Are you procrastinating or is it about timing?
Sometimes the right timing will never arrive. So consider the options in front of you and make the best possible choice for you right now. Who knows what might happen. If you need someone to work with to help you find the right answers for you, then contact me and let’s see what happens.
For me – here is my newsletter. A two weeks late (at least), but it has still been completed and another item off my list for the week. I will, though, change to a newsletter every three weeks, after some feedback that two weeks might be too often. I feel four weeks is too long (as suggested) so three weeks is timing that feels right for me. And isn’t that what really matters?
If you want to explore how to stop procrastinating or at least shorten the timeframes - schedule a complimentary intro session with me by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org to book a time. The session will be held by skype or phone.
I hope you have had an enjoyable festive season and 2015 is a year you can stop procrastinating and getting the timing right!
